PEMBROKESHIRE'S AWARD WINNING BEACHES IN THE SECOND BEST COASTAL DESTINATION IN THE WORLD!

There are so many beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire. They are all so different, some with golden sands and dunes, to pebble beaches and fishing ports, because of the varied geology of the rugged cliffs and coastline etc. A lot of the beaches here have won the European prestigious Blue Flag Award. I will look in more depth at some of these beautiful beaches later, but for the moment, here are a few photos of some of these beaches so you can see how beautiful they are.

PROUD TO BE FROM PEMBROKESHIRE

How exotic! This is in fact Tenby in Pembrokeshire!
As I said in my previous blog, I am in fact from Pembrokeshire itself, and I STILL love it! There are so many things see and do for all sorts of people around here, whether you love the sea, are an adrenalin junkie, love walking and nature or simply relaxing and taking in the historic sites and beautiful surroundings. There are also really good places to eat scattered around the county.  It is a place for all ages from children to the older person.   The only downside I would say is the sun isn't ALWAYS shining, so you may want to pack an umbrella just in case. However this will not stop you having an AMAZING holiday in this little jewel, classed as the second best coastal region in the world, yes that's right the WORLD! Don't let the Welsh Language barrier put you off as it's known as 'Little England beyond Wales'.

I will be concentrating on Pembrokeshire this week, and what you can do/see around this area. Remember, don' t forget to follow me on twitter for a chance to win some Welsh cakes.

An introduction

Hi. This is my first blog, so go easy on me! I am a French/Spanish/Primary School Teacher, but my passion is travelling and I would love to be a travel writer/blogger. I have been lucky enough to live abroad, as well as travel a great deal. I haven't a permanent job at the moment, but this will enable me to concentrate on my travelling for the moment and my travel blogging. I will concentrate on certain places for a week where I have visited/lived, then move onto another area the next week etc. Please feel free to subscribe/comment, tell me what you like/don't like etc.
I am, currently living in Pembrokeshire, so I think this would be a very good place to start. Look out for the next instalment of my blog featuring Pembrokeshire.
